Kotor Bay Highlights - 1h
TOUR DESCRIPTION
Highlights
Do you want to explore nature’s splendor in one hour? If so, we recommend our speedboat cruise around the Bay of Kotor, in which we evoke great awe through panoramic views of idyllic fishing villages, ancient churches, and many other historical monuments.
Bewitching Beauty: Discovered in 60 minutes
We set off from the port near the city park and slowly start sailing through the placid waters of the Boka Bay area. During the mellow cruise, you’ll be flabbergasted by marine and coastal ecosystems that occupy 360-degree of your field of vision. This enables you to enjoy untouched rocky landscapes in combination with places rich in history, as well as the mesmerizing bay and its clear waters.
The first and only stop on our route is at a charming islet, set in the middle of Boka Bay, named after the church Our Lady of the Rocks. This artificial island, according to folklore, was created from stones thrown by local fishermen to commemorate their respect for the icon of the Holy Mother, which had been first discovered there. In honor of Her, sailors promised to throw rocks whenever they returned safely from their voyages. This then created what is now a wide island that harbors the same-named church, where visitors can explore many artistic paintings, embroidery, and other artifacts.
One thing is free from doubt. You will witness, feel, and get absorbed by the wild beauty during the entire boat trip. So buckle up and be ready for imagery that will stick in your mind forever!
If you are more interested to go on tour with a group you can book Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks for 20€ per person.
