Blue Cave5 questions
The Blue Cave (Plava Špilja) is a natural sea cave near Kotor where sunlight filters through the water to create an ethereal bright blue glow. It's one of Montenegro's most iconic natural wonders and a highlight of our Blue Cave Adventure tours.
Yes! Swimming inside the Blue Cave is one of the most magical experiences on the tour. Our captains position the boat carefully so passengers can slip into the crystal-clear turquoise water and swim in the cave. Snorkeling equipment is included.
The Blue Cave is accessible in calm weather conditions. Strong winds or rough seas occasionally prevent entry, but this is rare during the main summer season. If we cannot enter the cave safely, we substitute with another equally beautiful swimming spot and the tour price is adjusted accordingly.
The Blue Cave looks most spectacular in late morning when sunlight penetrates the water at its most vivid angle (around 10:00 – 12:00). Our morning and midday departures are timed to make the most of this natural phenomenon.
The Blue Cave is approximately 45–60 minutes by speedboat from Kotor, depending on sea conditions. It's located near Herceg Novi in the outer Bay of Kotor. Our 3-hour and 6-hour tours include the Blue Cave as a key destination.
Destinations & Itinerary5 questions
Our tours cover the Bay of Kotor's most iconic locations: the Blue Cave (natural sea cave with glowing turquoise water), Our Lady of the Rocks (man-made island with a 17th-century church and museum), Perast (a baroque UNESCO-listed town), Mamula (historic fortress island), and Zanjice beach for swimming and optional lunch.
Private tours are fully customizable — you choose which destinations to visit, how long to stay at each stop, and when to depart. Shared tours follow a fixed itinerary, but every stop is carefully selected to maximize your experience.
Our Lady of the Rocks is a unique man-made island near Perast, created over centuries by local sailors who dropped stones into the sea. It features a beautiful 17th-century baroque church and a small museum with extraordinary ex-voto paintings and treasures. Museum entry is included in your tour price.
Swimming is included in the Blue Cave Adventure (3h), Full Day (6h), and Blue Cave & Beach Transfer (6h) tours. The 2-hour Perast tour focuses on sightseeing rather than swimming. All tours include time to appreciate the stunning scenery from the boat.
The Full Day (6h) tour includes a beach stop at Zanjice where Ribarsko Selo restaurant serves fresh grilled fish, seafood, and local specialties. Lunch is optional and not included in the tour price — you pay directly at the restaurant. For private tours, we can arrange reserved seating in advance.
Cruise Ship Passengers4 questions
Absolutely. We are rated #1 by cruise passengers in Kotor. Our dock at Park Slobode is just a 5-minute walk from the cruise port, making it the most convenient option for day visitors. We offer tours timed to fit within your port stop and guarantee you'll be back before your ship sails.
Tell us your ship's all-aboard time when booking and we'll select the right tour and departure time. We have a perfect record of getting cruise passengers back on time. Our captains have local knowledge of currents and sea conditions that makes our timing reliable.
Meet us at Park Slobode 1 (Central Park), Kotor — just a 5-minute walk from the cruise port entrance. Walk along the waterfront toward the Old Town and you'll see our booth. Our team will be there to check you in.
Contact us via WhatsApp immediately at +382 67 711 999. We're flexible and will do our best to accommodate you on a later departure or issue a full refund. We understand cruise schedules can be unpredictable and we'll never leave you stranded.
Safety & Accessibility4 questions
Yes — safety is our absolute top priority. All our captains hold valid maritime licenses, our boats are inspected monthly, and every passenger is covered by comprehensive marine insurance. In over 10 years of operation, we have had zero safety incidents.
Yes, life jackets in all sizes (including infant and child sizes) are on board every boat and must be worn by all passengers under 12 and strongly recommended for non-swimmers. Our captains will demonstrate the safety equipment before departure.
Our boats have low boarding platforms and we assist passengers at embarkation. However, the open-water nature of the tours means some physical agility is required, especially for swimming stops. Contact us before booking to discuss your specific needs and we'll advise on the most suitable tour.
Yes! You don't need to swim to enjoy our tours. Swimming is always optional — you can watch from the boat during swim stops. Life jackets are available for anyone who wants extra security in the water. Our captains will never pressure anyone to swim.
The Boats4 questions
We run 19 company-owned boats in 6 models: Atlantic Marine Open 670 (8 guests) and 750 (10 guests) speedboats, the Don Amon luxury tender (14 guests) and two 2026-built Don Amon class boats (18 guests), Merchant Yachting Excursion 36 boats (22 guests) and Kotor's only semi-submarine (14 guests). All are suited to the Bay of Kotor — fast enough to thrill, stable enough for families, and able to enter the Blue Cave.
Shared tours run on our Excursion 36 boats (up to 22 guests) and the 2026 Don Amon class boats (up to 18 guests), so everyone has a seat with a good view. The semi-submarine takes up to 14 guests and has underwater viewing windows on both sides.
Most of our speedboats have partial sun canopies providing shade over the seating area. We also provide raincoats on request. For private tours, you can request specific boats based on your preferences — some offer more shade than others.
Yes — we own every boat and maintain them in-house with mandatory monthly professional servicing. We never use rental boats or third-party vessels. This complete ownership means we control quality, safety, and cleanliness to the highest standard on every tour.
Practical Information5 questions
Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a change of clothes if you plan to swim. Wear light, comfortable clothing and water-resistant shoes or flip-flops. Bring your phone (the views are incredible!) and any personal medications. We provide snorkeling gear, life jackets, bottled water, and raincoats.
There is limited storage space on board for small bags and personal items. We don't have lockers. If you have large luggage, we recommend leaving it at your hotel before the tour. Valuables should be kept in a small waterproof bag or dry pouch.
Smaller speedboats do not have onboard toilets. We recommend using facilities at the dock before departure. Longer tours (6h) include stops where land-based facilities are available. Our full-day tours stop at Zanjice beach where a restaurant with facilities is accessible.
Yes, you're welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. We provide complimentary bottled water. For the 6-hour full-day tours, we stop at Zanjice beach where you can enjoy a full meal at the beachside restaurant.
The best time to visit is June through September when the weather is warm, the sea is calm and beautifully turquoise, and all tours operate daily. May and October are also excellent months with fewer crowds and pleasant temperatures. The Blue Cave's colors are most vivid in summer sunshine.
Special Occasions & Groups4 questions
Absolutely! We regularly organize private tours for birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons, and proposals. We can arrange champagne, decorations, and a custom route tailored to your occasion. Contact us via WhatsApp to plan your special moment.
We accommodate corporate groups of 8 to 250 people. For larger groups, we coordinate a fleet of boats departing together for an impressive on-the-water experience. We also provide official invoices and flexible payment terms for corporate clients.
Yes — and we'd be honored to help! The Bay of Kotor is one of the world's most romantic settings. We can plan the perfect moment: a private tour stopping at the scenic point of your choice, with champagne ready. Many couples have said 'yes' on our boats. Contact us to arrange it discreetly.
Yes, we welcome educational and student groups. We can provide informative commentary about the history, geology, and ecology of the Bay of Kotor. Group rates are available for educational institutions. Contact us with your group size and dates for a custom quote.
Travel & Kotor4 questions
Kotor is easily accessible from Dubrovnik (airport 75km), Tivat Airport (15 minutes), and Podgorica Airport (1.5 hours). During summer, direct charter flights serve Tivat Airport from many European cities. Kotor is also a major Adriatic cruise port.
Kotor Old Town offers charming boutique hotels within the historic walls. For more options, the Dobrota and Prcanj areas just outside Kotor have excellent hotels with bay views. The Boka Bay coastal towns (Tivat, Herceg Novi) are all within 30–60 minutes.
Kotor Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning medieval walls, the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, and charming piazzas. Climb the fortress walls for panoramic views, explore the Maritime Museum, or wander the narrow streets filled with cats (Kotor is famous for them!). The Old Town is completely walkable.
Kotor is considered one of the safest tourist destinations in the Balkans. Crime rates are very low, locals are friendly and welcoming, and English is widely spoken in tourist areas. The Old Town is pedestrianized so traffic is not a concern.
Families & Children4 questions
There is no minimum age. We regularly welcome babies and toddlers on our tours. Infants (0–2 years) travel free, children (3–10) receive discounted rates, and our captains are experienced working with families of all ages. Life jackets in infant and child sizes are available on every boat.
Yes — we welcome passengers of all ages. The main consideration is boarding the boat (there's a small step), and that open-water speedboat tours involve some movement in the water. Most elderly travelers have a wonderful time. If you have specific concerns, contact us before booking and we'll advise on the most comfortable option.
Children absolutely love our tours! The speedboat ride, swimming in the Blue Cave's crystal waters, seeing the island church, and the dolphins (occasionally spotted!) all create incredible childhood memories. We regularly receive reviews from parents calling it the highlight of their children's summer vacation.
Yes — life jackets in all sizes including infant, toddler, and child sizes are on board every boat. All children under 12 are required to wear a life jacket. Our captains fit the jackets properly for each child before departure.
