The Montenegro Submarine fleet at a glance: boats for Kotor boat tours and the Blue Cave

Montenegro Submarine runs 19 company-owned vessels from its own piers at Park Slobode (Kotor City Park), next to Kotor Old Town and the cruise ship dock. The fleet has four classes: 10 Atlantic Marine Open speedboats for 8–10 guests, 3 Don Amon class luxury tenders for 14–18 guests, 5 Merchant Yachting Excursion 36 boats for 22 guests, and the only semi-submarine in Kotor, for 14 guests.

Together the boats carry more than 280 guests at the same time, and a backup boat is ready for every departure, so a technical problem never cancels your tour. Every boat sails with a licensed local skipper and carries life jackets for babies, children and adults.

These boats run our Kotor boat tours, from the Blue Cave tour to Our Lady of the Rocks and Perast.

Atlantic Marine Open 670 & 750

Fast, sporty speedboats for families and couples

Ten Atlantic Marine Open speedboats are the core of our private fleet. The 670 takes up to 8 guests and the slightly larger 750 takes up to 10, so one family or group of friends has the whole boat to themselves.

They are quick and agile, which makes them the right choice for the Blue Cave, the sea caves along the Luštica peninsula and small beaches that larger boats cannot reach.

Luxury tenders for VIP charters and boutique groups

Don Amon is our flagship: a custom-built 10-metre luxury tender for up to 14 guests plus 2 crew. In 2026 two new Don Amon class boats joined the fleet, each taking up to 18 guests.

All three have lounge seating and sun beds under an extended roof that keeps guests in the shade for the whole trip, and they stay very steady on the water. We use them for VIP and concierge charters and private tours, and the two 2026 boats also run our shared group tours.

Merchant Yachting Excursion 36

Large open boats for group tours and big parties

Five Excursion 36 boats by Merchant Yachting carry up to 22 guests each, plus 2 crew. Sailing together, they take 100 guests in a single departure.

They are built for groups, with wide shaded seating, a large open deck and room to move around. They run our shared tours to the Blue Cave and Our Lady of the Rocks, private tours for large families and companies, and team-building days on the bay.

Water taxi and private boat transfers

Our speedboats also run a water taxi: direct, private transfers across Boka Bay from Park Slobode to hotels, marinas, beaches and landmarks, so you skip the summer traffic on the coastal road.

Where the boats leave from

Every boat boards at our own piers in Park Slobode (Kotor City Park), next to the Old Town walls and a short walk from the cruise ship and tender dock. Our ticket office, waiting area and dispatch team are at the pier.

Reserved piers let us board more than 100 guests in under 15 minutes, which keeps cruise passengers on schedule. Our tour timings already allow for the 2026 speed limits in the bay (10 and 6 knots), so no stop is cut short.

What is the largest boat in the fleet?

The Merchant Yachting Excursion 36, which takes up to 22 guests plus 2 crew. For bigger groups we send several boats that leave and travel together.

Which boat is best for a family?

For up to 8 or 10 people, an Atlantic Marine Open 670 or 750 gives your family a private speedboat. For a bigger family, or if you want shade for the whole trip, the Don Amon takes up to 14 guests and has lounge seating under a full roof.

Do the boats have a toilet on board?

No. Our speedboats have no toilet on board, so we recommend using one before departure. Longer tours include stops on land.

What happens if a boat has a technical problem?

With 19 boats we keep 100% backup capacity: a replacement boat is ready for every departure, so a technical problem does not cancel your tour.

Which boats go to the Blue Cave?

The shared Blue Cave tour runs on our Excursion 36 boats and the 2026 Don Amon class boats. The private Blue Cave tour runs on an Atlantic Marine Open speedboat, just for your group.
