About Kotor
Kotor is a fortified medieval city nestled at the innermost point of the Bay of Kotor, where dramatic mountains plunge into the Adriatic. Its well-preserved Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring a maze of narrow streets, Romanesque churches, and Venetian palaces enclosed by imposing stone walls that climb the steep hillside to the fortress of San Giovanni.

The Fortress Walk
The fortifications of Kotor stretch over 4.5 km up the mountainside to the Castle of San Giovanni at 280 meters above sea level. The climb rewards visitors with panoramic views of the entire bay — one of the most photographed vistas in Montenegro.
